St. John’s Lavin misses second straight game
St. John’s coach Steve Lavin was not on the sidelines for Saturday’s game against Northeastern, the second in a row he has missed while recovering from prostate cancer surgery.
Lavin was absent from the Red Storm’s season opener following surgery Oct. 6. He then returned to the bench for four games before missing a win over St. Francis, N.Y.
Lavin, who is continuing a modified schedule in order to watch his stamina, took part in team practices this week.
Assistant Mike Dunlap again served as head coach Saturday for the 4-2 Red Storm.
