Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker’s comeback in the NBA Development League didn’t last long.

The Idaho Stampede waived Walker on Wednesday “due to personal reasons.”

Walker, who played for the Stampede last season, had re-signed with the club in mid-October. He averaged 16 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists with Idaho last season.

Walker made two All-Star teams while a member of the Boston Celtics and won an NBA title with the Miami Heat in 2006. He has had serious financial issues since last playing in the NBA in 2008, including charges of writing bad checks to three Las Vegas Casinos.

The sixth overall pick in 1996, Walker averaged 17.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in 12 NBA seasons with Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Memphis and Minnesota.
