Curry Rolls Ankle; Returns to Game
The Warriors used four different scorers to open the third quarter with a 10-1 run and took a 71-54 lead on a (Jarrett) Jack layup with 10:27 remaining. Just about everything went right for them in the quarter as they built a 96-80 lead heading into the fourth.
Everything except having to play the final 2:26 of the frame with (Stephen) Curry, who rolled his left ankle – not the one that has twice been surgically repaired – and limped to the sideline. Curry was trying to retreat out of a trap of (Ty) Lawson and Anthony Randolph when his left ankle turned hard to the outside.
Curry returned at the start of the fourth quarter, and suddenly, the Warriors didn’t look like such overwhelming underdogs.
