Nuggets forward Al Harrington had successful surgery today to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Steve Traina.

Harrington, who averaged 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds in 64 games, is expected to return to the court for summer workouts and it is anticipated he will be ready for the start of training camp in October.

Harrington initially injured his knee on April 1 but missed only two of the team’s final 13 games. He also played in all seven postseason games and scored 24 points in Denver’s Game 7 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
