Suns PG Nash not playing vs. Mavs

Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash was out of the lineup for Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks because of a bruised left thigh.

Nash was hurt when he was hit by the knee of Marc Gasol late in Saturday’s win over Memphis.

It was just the second game this season that the two-time Most Valuable Player has missed.

Nash, 37, is averaging 14.3 points and 9.9 assists.The Mavericks were without point guard Jason Kidd as well because of a strained right calf.
