Suns Searching for Perimeter Scorer
For most of last season, the Suns rotated four players on the wings — Grant Hill, Jared Dudley, Shannon Brown and Michael Redd.
Only Dudley will not be a free agent in July. Because of that and the need for a dynamic scorer, General Manager Lance Blanks said the Suns are “aggressively looking” at wing players as the NBA pre-draft camp begins today in Chicago.
The Suns could look anywhere on the perimeter with the 13th overall pick in the June 28 draft, particularly due to the uncertain future of free-agent point guard Steve Nash.
