Fab Melo to miss third straight game Saturday

Syracuse Orange center Fab Melo is expected to miss his third straight game on Saturday against West Virginia due to an academic issue.The issue occurred in the first semester, a source has told ESPN.com’s Andy Katz. Details of the issue are being withheld due to school policy and federal student privacy laws.Melo sat out games against Notre Dame and Cincinnati. The Fighting Irish handed the Orange their first loss of the season last Saturday.The sophomore is averaging 7.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per game this season.Syracuse’s next game after Saturday is Feb. 4 at St. John’s.
