Syracuse, Kentucky atop Top 25 poll

Syracuse and Kentucky held firm to their first- and second-place voting in the latest ESPN/USA Today men’s basketball poll on Monday, but North Carolina dropped five spots following its loss to Florida State.

The Tar Heels dropped from third to eighth in the latest poll after losing 90-57 to the Seminoles on Saturday.

Undefeated Baylor (17-0) took advantage of the loss to advance to third in the poll. Syracuse (19-0) received all 31 first-place votes while Kentucky is 17-1 on the season.

Duke (15-2) both moved up as well to fill out the top five. The Blue Devils jumped two spots for the fourth ranking, while the Tigers leapt from ninth to fifth.

Ohio State (16-3), Kansas (14-3), North Carolina, Michigan State (15-3) and Murray State (18-0) round out the top 10.
