Fair dunks on POY candidate Porter
by Scott Gleeson, USA TODAY Sports
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new Big East Conference tournament poster.
Revenge is always sweet, particularly when it involves dunking on the undisputed best player in the conference and a candidate for national player of the year.
Syracuse got the best of rival Georgetown on Friday, outlasting the Hoyas 58-55 in overtime. And, well, Syracuse’s C.J. Fair got the best of Big East Player of the Year Otto Porter with two minutes remaining in overtime.
Too bad the league’s tradition is disintegrating with Syracuse heading to the ACC and Georgetown one of the key Catholic 7 schools steering the new Big East.
His bid for dunk of the year has been submitted.
As for the poster…
