The San Antonio Spurs may have denied Tayshaun Prince a second championship ring, but there is one ring that Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker could not deny the Detroit Pistons small forward: a wedding band. ¿0a¿0a“Yes, I got married this summer,” beams Tay. “We had a pretty big wedding – 300 people. For the honeymoon we went to Tahiti for ten days.”¿0a¿0aSo what do you get for your friend or relative who plays in the NBA? It’s kind of like the age-old question of what to get for the man who has everything. With that in mind, Tay wisely made an assist to his fiancée. “My wife’s the one who did everything as far as the gifts for the wedding list and I think she got pretty much everything she wanted. I didn’t get too into all that.”¿0a¿0aPlans for the wedding and the blessed event itself took up much of Tay’s summer, as he discusses: “This was a very busy summer this year. I had so many things planned, so many basketball camps I had set up, but I had to cancel a lot of them because of the wedding. I did a camp this summer over in Spain. Kids from Barcelona and Madrid went down to Malaga, Spain (on the southern coast) and we had a camp down there for a week. That was my first trip to Spain and the camp turned out pretty good. I was definitely thrilled to go and be a part of something like that.”¿0a¿0aJust how far-reaching is the NBA? We keep hearing about the global influence on the game, and some of the top players in the league are from foreign soil. Did kids in Spain know who Tay is and what the NBA is all about? You bet.¿0a¿0aTo read the rest of the article, click over to:¿0a¿0a – Tay’s official website!
