DeMarcus Cousins wasn’t mad at an official this time. But he still picked up another technical foul.

Cousins was called for his league-leading 10th technical with 2:12 left in the third quarter of Friday night’s 89-80 loss to the 76ers.

Cousins was called for a personal foul while diving for the ball against Philadelphia center Spencer Hawes. After the foul, Cousins slammed the ball against the floor while still sitting on the court.

“I was mad that I fouled,” Cousins said. “I wasn’t mad about the call. I was mad I didn’t steal it. I never really got an explanation (for the technical).”

The technical was Cousins’ first since Jan. 14. He would be suspended for one game if he reaches 16 technicals. A suspension would follow with every other technical from then on.

The Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, the Clippers’ Blake Griffin and Matt Barnes and the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony also began play Friday with nine technicals.
