Thunder Focused on Stopping Tony Parker

Watching Tony Parker repeatedly slice through his team’s defense in San Antonio led to a declaration from Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins for tonight’s game against the Spurs.

Perkins said the Thunder will be determined to deny the Spurs their favored shooting locations in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals.

“I think we’ve got to play more physical,” Perkins said. “They are running freely and getting to whatever spot they want to get to. We’ve got to do a better job on that, starting with the bigs.”

The focus will be on Parker, who knifed through the Thunder’s defense en route to a season playoff-high 34 points in the Spurs’ 120-111 Game 2 victory Tuesday night.
