The Oklahoma City Thunder extended the contract of center Serge Ibaka, Yahoo! Sports reported Saturday.

Ibaka agreed to a four-year deal worth $48 million. Known mostly for his defense, Ibaka averaged 9.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game last season. He also helped Spain win a silver medal in the London Olympics.

He would have been eligible for free agency after next season. Teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have also been locked into long-term deals.
