Tonight Heat’s streak faces stiff test
by Adi Joseph, USA TODAY Sports
A quick look at the 10-game NBA schedule for Friday, March 15, in order of watchability (all times p.m. Eastern):
MUST-WATCH: Miami Heat (49-14) at Milwaukee Bucks (32-31), 8:30
The Heat have won 20 in a row. But this will be their second-toughest test of the streak. The Bucks beat the Heat by 19 in their last meeting, so LeBron James and company will be out for revenge. But in their other meeting this season, Miami needed overtime to beat Milwaukee. The Bucks have a deep stable in their frontcourt and several athletic wings, so they match up well against the Heat. But this streak doesn’t seem like it ever will end. It just might tonight, so get your League Pass ready.
MUST-WATCH 2: Los Angeles Lakers (34-32) at Indiana Pacers (40-24), 7
There’s this Kobe Bryant thing you may have heard about. He may play. It’s not decided yet. Paul Gasol even said he might be back for the Lakers, too. Who knows? It’s a shame this game isn’t on national TV, though, as the ratings would be absurd if Bryant does play.
3. Memphis Grizzlies (44-19) at Denver Nuggets, 9
There are no great story lines here, just two great teams. The Nuggets have won 10 in a row. The Grizzlies have won 14 of 15. Denver is the best home team in the Western Conference. Memphis is the best road team in the Western Conference.
4. Chicago Bulls (35-29) at Golden State Warriors (37-29), 10:30
Two good teams on downslides play in the night’s only late game (relatively speaking). The Bulls need to turn things around after being blown out by the Kings.
5. Minnesota Timberwolves (22-40) at Houston Rockets (35-30), 8, NBATV
The night’s only nationally televised game features one of the NBA’s most exciting players, Ricky Rubio, and teams, the Rockets. Expect offense.
6. Cleveland Cavaliers (22-42) at Dallas Mavericks (30-34), 8:30
If Bryant misses significant time, the Mavericks become the team … [For more on Tonight's NBA schedule: Heat's streak faces stiff test, click here.]
