Eric Gordon No Stranger to Trade Rumors

New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon said Monday night he understands his name likely will surface in rampant trade scenarios before Thursday afternoon’s trading deadline, but concedes it’s the nature of the business and he’s comfortable in New Orleans.

“I’m not really worried about it,” Gordon said. “I’ve just got to go out and play my game and look forward to this week. Whatever happens, happens. It’s happened to be before where I was traded. Business is business. I really don’t worry about that. I’m just focused on this team.

Gordon has been dogged by injuries during his time with the Hornets, playing 27 out of a possible 119 games since joining New Orleans in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers in December 2011 that sent guard Chris Paul to the Clippers.

He did not make 2012-13 season debut until Dec. 29 after continuing to rehab a right knee injury that forced him to miss all but nine games in last season’s lockout-shortened 66-game season.
