Trey Gilder Invited to Jazz Preseason Camp
Veteran forward Trey Gilder is expected to compete for a roster spot during the Jazz’s upcoming training camp, The Salt Lake Tribune learned on Wednesday.
Utah’s regular-season roster is currently set at 15 players entering camp, which is the maximum allowed by the NBA once the regular season begins.
The 6-foot-9, 185-pound Gilder averaged 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds in 34 games (31 starts) last season for Sioux Falls, an NBA Development League team.
Gilder, 27, was on the Jazz’s 2011-12 training-camp roster. He was cut from the club before the regular season started, though.
The Jazz are expected to hold their annual media day Oct. 1, with camp starting Oct. 2.
