UCLA’s Norman Powell hospitalized

UCLA freshman guard Norman Powell was hospitalized Wednesday after suffering an allergic reaction during practice.

Powell was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and will be held overnight for observation. The school said he will not practice Thursday.

Powell has played in all seven games for the Bruins, averaging 4.6 points.
