USC’s Dedmon tears MCL; out for season

Southern California Trojans forward Dewayne Dedmon tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Thursday’s loss to Colorado and will miss the remainder of the season.Dedmon tore the ligament four minutes into the first half and sat out the rest of the game.The 22-year-old sophomore has been plagued with injuries this season. He broke his hand in October and then suffered a stress injury to his foot in November.Dedmon is averaging 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in just over 23 minutes per game this season.The Trojans have lost five players to season-ending injuries, leaving them with just six healthy scholarship players.
