(Stan) Van Gundy was asked if (Dwight) Howard should be receiving more attention for the MVP Award. Initially, Van Gundy said the season was only two-thirds of the way finished and it was too early to talk about it. Then he talked about, saying he loved Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose but the award should go to LeBron James. Conspicuously, he left Howard’s name out of the conversation.

“Right now the way it’s going it would be hard to vote for any other than LeBron,” “Look at his numbers. And I’m not just talking about his points, rebounds, assists. Looking at his shooting percentages. I mean, my God. Plus the guy’s a hell of a defender.”
