Wade apologizes to Kobe for hard foul
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said that he sent a message to Kobe Bryant apologizing for his hard foul which led to the veteran’s broken nose during the All-Star Game on Sunday.
“It’s all I can do,” Wade told ESPN.com. “He knows it’s no ill intent of me to do that to him. Talk about me for taking the foul, but I never wanted that kind of outcome.”
Prior to leaving the contest, Bryant became the all-time leading scorer in NBA All-Star Game history.
Bryant eclipsed Michael Jordan’s record of 262 points with a dunk in the third quarter.
He entered the game needing 18 points to tie and 20 points to break the mark. Bryant set the record in 12 games, one fewer than Jordan.
