Bashir Mason became the youngest Division I basketball coach when he was promoted by Wagner on Monday.

The 28-year-old Mason succeeds Dan Hurley, who left the school to coach at Rhode Island.

Mason has been with the Seahawks for the past two seasons after serving as an assist at Marist.

Wes Miller, 29, was promoted at North Carolina-Greensboro earlier this month.
