Walker signs with Idaho of D-League
Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker had agreed to a contract with the Idaho Stampede of the D-League.
Walker, who played for the Stampede last season, will make a reported $25,000. He averaged 16 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists with Idaho last season.
Walker made two All-Star teams while a member of the Boston Celtics and won an NBA title with the Miami Heat in 2006. He has had serious financial issues since last playing in the NBA in 2008, including charges of writing bad checks to three Las Vegas Casinos.
The sixth overall pick in 1996, Walker averaged 17.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in 12 NBA seasons with Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Memphis and Minnesota.
