The reviews are finished. Finally.
David Lee had 31 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 106-105 Thursday night. But that score came after three official reviews in the final four seconds of the game gave the Nuggets controversial chances to win.
“Do we like replay or not? I’m not sure,” TNT color commentator Steve Kerr said after the game. “Boy, that was some crazy stuff.”
With his team down three, Nuggets star Andre Iguodala was fouled while shooting a three-pointer. Well, maybe he was shooting. Television replays made it almost impossible to tell who the ball hit last, with some angles showing the ball hitting Curry, others Lawson.
“Tell you what, if the Nuggets score here, these officials need to run to their locker room quickly because there have been some really questionable calls that have gone against Golden State,” Kerr said.
And they almost had to.
Miller lobbed another cross-court pass, hitting Iguodala, who caught the ball in the air, came down … [For more on Warriors beat Nuggets amid controversial calls, reviews, click here.]
