Warriors’ Curry Breaks Three-Point Record
Stephen Curry made shooting history on Wednesday. The Golden State Warriors guard hit his 269th and 270th three-pointers of the 2012-13 season against the Portland Trail Blazers to break the all-time record for most threes in a season. Ray Allen set the previous mark of 269 with the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2005-06 season.
Curry, the son of sharpshooter Dell Curry, shot 45.3% from three-point range this season. Allen shot 41.2% when he set the previous record. The fourth-year guard’s shooting has led the Warriors to their first postseason appearance since 2007.
