Warriors G Curry: Ankle is “the worst it’s been”

The Golden State Warriors may be without speedy point guard Stephen Curry for a while.Curry acknowledged Thursday that his injured right ankle is “the worst it’s been,” and he’s expected to miss at least the next several days while he recovers.Curry sprained the ankle for a third time this season in the third quarter of the Warriors’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Curry appeared to twist it while moving the ball upcourt.He hobbled to the sidelines and went to the locker room for observation.The 23-year-old has sprained the same ankle seven times in the past 15 months. He missed eight games last season.Curry is averaging 15.2 points, 5.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds in five games so far. He finished with 20 points and eight assists against the Spurs.
