Warriors G Curry likely out for season

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is likely done for the season, the team announced in a statement on Tuesday.

“While he continues to make progress in the rehabilitation of his injured right ankle, it was determined that he is not yet 100 percent and it is doubtful that he will play the remainder of the 2011-12 season,” the Warriors said in a statement.

Sidelined for the last 22 games and 34 overall, Curry averaged 14.7 points and 5.3 assists this season.

The Warriors have six games remaining on their schedule.
