Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is expected to play against the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday after spraining his ankle in Saturday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks.Curry, who just returned from an ankle injury, rolled his ankle midway through the third quarter of Saturday’s 111-87 win over Dallas. The team is calling it a mild sprain and Curry’s status for Sunday is probable.Curry suffered the injury by stepping on the foot of Mavericks center Ian Mahinmi. He limped down the floor to play defense and left the floor on the next whistle, slamming his hand into a chair on the Warriors’ bench.”I just had a reaction because it’s frustrating being the same ankle,” Curry told the Contra Costa Times. “I probably could have gone in and played but we had the game under control at that point, and knowing we have a game tomorrow in L.A., I had to keep that in mind.”Curry is averaging 15.3 points per game and shooting 45.8 percent from 3-point range this season.
