Warriors Preparing Offer for Jordan?

Both moves are designed to create cap space. Why? The Warriors are preparing an offer sheet for Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, team sources confirmed. League rules require the Warriors have cap space available to cover the first year of the offer before the offer is made.

The Warriors, who have not hidden their desire to acquire a big man, have set their sights on Jordan, 23, after their No. 1 choice, Tyson Chandler, agreed to sign with the New York Knicks.

Jordan is a restricted free agent, so the Clippers will have the right to match the Warriors’ offer. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Clippers plan to do so. The Warriors are going to try to call their bluff.
