Weather was not a factor in the plane crash that killed Oklahoma State women’s basketball coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna.

An investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board said Saturday that winds were calm and skies were clear when the plane carrying Budke and Serna crashed Thursday night in central Arkansas.

The NTSB said that it could take nine months to a year to determine the cause of the crash.

The plane crash comes 10 months after the school commemorated the 10th anniversary of a crash that killed 10 men associated with the men’s program.
