What Free Agents Are Left?
The NBA free agency period has barely commenced, and already many players have nailed down their contracts. Some landed in expected destinations, and some have certainly surprised the masses. And there are a considerable number of decisions that have yet to be made…or at least revealed.
The list of remaining free agents, both restricted and unrestricted, is a long one. We put together an updated list of those players with an unchanged status as of the close of the official first day of free agency. The list excludes those who have agreed to terms, yet may not have officially signed. Where appropriate, we noted any pertinent information regarding possible signings.
RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS:
Arron Afflalo (Denver Nuggets): $2.9 million Qualifying Offer extended. As one of the most coveted players in this free agency, offers will come…and Denver should match.
Marco Belinelli (New Orleans Hornets): $3.4 million Qualifying Offer on the table.
Aaron Brooks (Phoenix Suns): $3.0 million Qualifying Offer extended; took no opt-out deal in China.
Wilson Chandler (Denver Nuggets): $3.1 million Qualifying Offer extended. Chandler’s contract with China has a no-opt-out clause.
Dante Cunningham (Charlotte Bobcats): $1.1 million Qualifying Offer extended.
Marc Gasol (Memphis Grizzlies): $4.5 million Qualifying Offer extended; Memphis has no intention of letting him go.
Hamed Haddadi (Memphis Grizzlies): $2.0 million Qualifying Offer extended, but it looks like he’s staying in Iran for the time being.
Spencer Hawes (Philadelphia 76ers): $4.1 million Qualifying Offer given.
Othyus Jeffers (Washington Wizards): The Wizards tendered a $1.06 Qualifying Offer; once healthy (estimated in January), they’ll want him back.
DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers): $1.1 million Qualifying Offer given; sources say the Clippers have offered him a five-year, $40 million deal. Sources also say the Warriors maintain serious interest, with the Rockets, Hornets and Timberwolves in the mix as well.
Patrick Mills (Portland Trail Blazers): $1.1 million Qualifying Offer extended; took no-opt-out deal in China.
Luc Mbah a Moute (Milwaukee Bucks): $1.1 million Qualifying Offer extended; Denver may present an offer sheet.
Hamady Ndiaye (Washington Wizards): $1.0 million Qualifying Offer extended.
Larry Owens (Washington Wizards):$1.0 million Qualifying Offer extended.
Rodney Stuckey (Detroit Pistons): $3.9 million Qualifying Offer on the table.
Sonny Weems (Toronto Raptors): $1.1 million Qualifying Offer extended.
Reggie Williams (Golden State Warriors): Qualifying offer was extended. He may be deciding between San Antonio, Orlando, Denver, Chicago and Charlotte.
Nick Young (Washington Wizards): $3.7 million Qualifying Offer extended. Young is waiting out a better offer; Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, New Orleans and Sacramento appear to have interest.

Carlos Arroyo (Boston Celtics) – Arroyo would love to land in New York.

J.J. Barea (Dallas Mavericks): He’s not pleased Dallas won’t give him more than a one-year deal, so he’s looking around for a three or four-year contract.
Mike Bibby (Miami HEAT) Very close to terms with Knicks?

Kwame Brown (Charlotte Bobcats): HEAT interested or will he re-sign?
Rasual Butler (Chicago Bulls): Utah has taken a preliminary look.
