Wheelchair all-stars converge on Houston

The NBA isn’t the only league in Houston this weekend. The National Wheelchair Basketball Association is taking up camp for its own all-star game, the annual NWBA All-Star Wheelchair Classic, Thursday at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The game brings together 22 top wheelchair basketball players from around the country. These stars play for teams such as the New Orleans Rollin’ Hornets, the Golden State Road Warriors and the Houston Punishers.
The game is at 7:45 p.m. ET, and it features a few names you might recognize as honorary coaches: former NBA players Bob Lanier, Bruce Bowen and Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy; WNBA stars Lindsey Harding and DeMya Walker; and WNBA and Houston basketball legend Sheryl Swoopes.
