Will Davis Supplant Lin in Starting Lineup?
There’s no question that Jeremy Lin is the Knicks’ starting point guard right now.
But Mike D’Antoni didn’t dismiss the possibility that Baron Davis could eventually supplant Lin as the starter if Lin’s play tails off.
D’Antoni was asked on Monday if he’d talked to Davis about his role as a backup to Lin.
“We haven’t had that conversation, but we’ll talk about it,” the coach said. “I think he can see what’s happening too and knows where he is. … Right now Jeremy is the starter and then Baron is going to get ready and get [in] game shape and we’ll see.
