Will Richard Jefferson Get Playing Time?

Basketball News & NBA Rumors

When it comes to which Warriors’ player will be getting the minutes at small forward this season, few seem to be giving Richard Jefferson much of a shot.

Conventional wisdom is that rookie Harrison Barnes and Brandon Rush, whom the team re-signed in August, will be holding down that spot. And if not them, then Draymond Green, the Warriors’ second-round selection, could be in the mix for some playing time.

But don’t overlook Jefferson. He’s got something going for him that nobody on the Warriors’ roster can touch: Extensive playoff experience. And that experience will likely keep him in the forefront of coach Mark Jackson’s mind when it comes to playing time this season – particularly late in close games.
