Will Rodney Stuckey Return by Season Opener?
Detroit Pistons coach Maurice Cheeks said today he is hopeful that guard Rodney Stuckey (broken right thumb) will recover in time for the Oct. 30 season opener against the Washington Wizards.
Stuckey underwent surgery Friday. The plan is to remove his splint just before the opener.
“I’m hoping,” Cheeks said. “We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m hoping he will be ready.”
