Will Sixers Consider Trade Options?
Now that we know just how vast and expansive the gap is between the 76ers and the Miami Heat, the team that is the only true measuring stick in the Eastern Conference, what’s the next move for the Sixers?
What (president Rod) Thorn has to do is decide whether the Sixers have young talent that will eventually flourish and bring the team its first championship since 1983 or whether he wants to explore serious trade possibilities that might get the Sixers there faster. He can either stand pat at the March 15 trade deadline and let the season play out or roll the dice.
The way things are going, rocking the boat is the riskier option. It is not, however, something that Thorn hasn’t done before. And fix for he has come out on top in the process.
