(Clippers coach Vinny) Del Negro has plenty of reason to gush about (Willie) Green’s professionalism. Green’s started 26 of the Clippers’ 29 games this season. The other three, Chauncey Billups started.

And with Billups back, Green didn’t get off the bench.

“I’m not going to sit up here and say it’s not tough,” Green said.

But he didn’t complain. Green has accepted his role and embraces it.

“It’s definitely maturity,” Green said. “For me personally, it’s spiritual maturity. I know in order to reach our goals, it’s going to take sacrifice and unselfishness from each member of this team.”
