Chandler Targets Mid-January Return
What has seemed like an eternity now has an end coming into focus. Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler, who has battled a severe hip injury for months, is plotting a Jan. 13 return.
He revealed the plan after participating in a shootaround Friday morning at American Airlines Arena, hours before the Nuggets’ game against the Mavericks. It was his first team-oriented drill in a while since being shut down in November.
“I’m very excited,” Chandler said. “The first time, I was excited to play, but I was kind of weak and just wasn’t ready. This time around, I feel really strong and confident about it.”
