Wizards to Sign Mack to Fill Open Roster Spot
The Washington Wizards will sign guard Shelvin Mack, who has been playing for the Maine Red Claws in the D-League after being released by Washington earlier this year. Mack has averaged 20 points and 7 assists per game in ten games played with the Red Claws.
The move to bring back Mack, who was orginally drafted by the Wizards in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft out of Butler before being cut after preseason, follows the release of point guard Shaun Livingston and center Earl Barron.
Once the three moves are officially executed, Washington will have 14 players under contract, leaving one open roster spot.
