Woodson Happy with Knicks Point Guards
At first, (Mike) Woodson said he would discuss the possibility of signing someone with Glen Grunwald. Then, a couple of days later at practice, he suggested the Knicks would go with what they had. That meant Baron Davis, Toney Douglas and Mike Bibby running the team, with J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert splitting some floor-general duties.
After Saturday’s practice at the team’s training facility, Woodson took it one step further addressing any potential additions.
“Absolutely not. No, not at all,” he said. “We’ve got enough good point-guard play in Baron and Bibby and Toney, and I can move [Shumpert] to the point if I need to. That’s plenty I think to get the job done. They’ve just got to be committed and be willing to work on both ends of the floor to make it happen.”
