Thaddeus Young understood that resting for two more days would’ve given his strained left hamstring additional time to heal.

But Young thought the injury had improved to the point where he needed to see how it responded in a game situation and he couldn’t wait any longer.

That’s why Young returned Sunday night against the Knicks, which was one game earlier than expected after missing six games (five of which the Sixers lost) and 19 days.
